PAST EVENTS

SALTY DOG SUNSET CRUISE

Sigma Chi Brothers and their Sweethearts enjoyed food, drinks, and beautiful sunsets on board the Salty Dog Cruise boat in Calibogue Sound/May River in September 2022 and in the Chechessee/Broad Rivers area of Port Royal Sound in June 2023.

Community Service Projects

Beach Walk: The Chapter joined the Kappa Delta Alumnae Chapter on a beach walk in March 2022 to raise funds for the Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA). More than 40 Sigs, KDs, friends and family, and dogs walked on Coligny Beach for about an hour, raising more than $2500 for CAPA in the process. Many stayed afterwards for a box lunch and socializing.

Laying of Wreaths for Veterans at Beaufort National Cemetery 2023: Several brothers laid wreaths for the Christmas holiday season at the Beaufort National Cemetery.

BURNT CHURCH DISTILLERY

In February 2022 and 2023 the Chapter was treated to a private tour of the Burnt Church Distillery in Bluffton, followed by drinks and hors d’oeuvres in the Distillery Tasting Room.

GOLF OUTINGS

Brothers enjoy golf outings in the spring and fall. Past events have been held at Bear Creek and Oyster Reef golf clubs in Hilton Head Plantation and at Hilton Head National Golf Club in Bluffton. After 9 or 18 holes of golf, everyone is ready for refreshments and Brotherhood at the clubhouse.
